Just playing a bit with the new shadows
Will be back shortly with details!
Driving right now (but don’t do this at home)
In commemoration of their 30 year anniversary, MUFE released an entire line of brand new eye shadows/blushes. There’s 210 new colors coming in 5 formulas: diamond, iridescent, matte, metal, satin…
Recently MUFE had a special all access preview for Backstage Pass card holders (their Pro discount) and I made sure to take advantage. With the purchase of 10 or more shadows, you received a bonus discount on top of the already awesome Pro discount received! Needless to say, I made sure to stock up.
Since I no longer live near a boutique, I called in my order to the NYC boutique. Karen assisted me and she was great. Only took a few days for shipping, everything was packed tight, and I’m very pleased. I’ll be sure to place all my future orders with this boutique.
I also purchased 2 of the 10 color palettes (to house these refills) and they included a cute little samples kit!
Now on to the good part….
So I’m back with details of one of the looks I posted in my “a little extra…” post.
This look was worn on my first night out in DC. Had a great time and I reaaaaally liked the look I chose to wear.
No idea was foundation this is, which sucks cause I like to know for my own reference so I can look back on pictures to see how the foundation looks on my skin. Sometimes I just wanna see, don’t judge. Thank you.
I don’t know what blush or contour this is either, that’s what I get for having too many. Looks like it may be Mac ‘ripe for love’ (LE) or Mac ‘my paradise’ (LE)
Any peachy blush will get you a similar effect
What’s most important
MUFE 70 (crease)
MUFE 18 (lid)
Sephora flashy liner purple (lower lash line)
MUFE 92 (lower lash line)
Mac motif (inner corner)
I didn’t deepen the outer V or crease because I wanted a more soft look
Lid liner is just a black gel liner, I think. It could be liquid
No lashes, just loads of mascary (yes, this is what I call mascara, come at me)
Mac Peach stock lipstick
Mac peach stock lip glass
I think that’s it. Any questions, just let me know, although I may not have the answer. Sorrys.
pictures after the jump 😉
There are already a TON of reviews on this foundation. From YouTube, to blogs, to Instagram, all over these innanets! But here’s mine. Cause I’m a part of this “blogosphere” I’m gonna contribute, someone’s interested in my thoughts, right?
So here we go…
This foundation is like an extra layer of skin. Not in the sense of creating a thick elephant like skin, but like your skin, but much better. It offers a sort of perfection, especially for those with limited skin issues. The coverage it offers is medium to full, however, I can not attest to how heavy a coverage it offers, as I do not like full/heavy coverage. It has also be sheered out, perhaps in conjunction with a moisturizer or mixing medium. I used almost 2 pumps and it covered my whole face and slightly down to my neck. I did use about a half a pump more in certain spots of my face where I had a couple blemishes. I decided to use 2 pumps because this was New Year’s Eve and I knew I’d be drinking which meant, I’d probably sweat a little bit. I wanted to be sure it lasted and didn’t fade. We’ll get to that point a little later tho… Check out my FOTN from New Year’s here.
I believe if you have problematic skin, this foundation will work for you. You’ll need to work with it, layer it, but wait until each layer dries before you add another. It may take some trial and error to get the right amount without it being cakey.
what’s uppington err’ybody?!
So I’ve been doing some things, getting out n such, and I wanna share some of it with you!
on a whim, back in october, I decided I was just gonna book a trip to DC. I haven’t been there since I was a child and I figured it was time for me to visit chocolate city as an adult. so…on dec 28 I flew on out for a few days. but this post isn’t about my trip, there’s another post coming with all that.
this post is about my day trip to NYC and my visit to the make up for ever boutique. so I decided to take a bus up to the NY, which ended up being a 5 hour ride (insert upset face emoticon). at least I didn’t have to sit next to anyone. but I only ended up spending about 5 1/2 hours in the NY.
